I agree. You really need to have the rocker rails if you are going to do anything off the pavement. When I was deciding to do that, it seemed like a no-brainer to spend a few extra $$$ to get the extra armor underneath as well.

There isn't a whole lot of standard protection under there and you can imagine that coming down hard on a rock could seriously dent not only your undercarriage but your wallet as well. The UC protection is just good insurance.
