Are you sure about the facts in that last post? BFG MT's consistently rate as one of the top 3 mud tires available

That would make them better than swampers, swamper radials, swamper sx's, and boggers, not to mention claws, buckshots, BFG Krawlers, Nitto mudgrapplers, and parnelli jones. I have a hard time taking the person who rated BFG MT's above these tires. I would look into a different rating guide.

quote:
(I personally think MT/R's do worse in mud than the stock AT's).

I doubt that they do worse (I have owned both tires and that is not my experience whatsoever)but their mud performance is still not vastly different enough to consider either one for the mud. The MTR is a much superior rock tire, however. It has better grip and it resist punctures much better.

quote:
And by the way Mickey thompson doesn't make a set of Baja Claws that will fit an H2 with stock hubs and the Competition Claws are to wide for the stock rims (while they may go on, they really are too wide). If you like that pattern, go with the 35" x-terrains, much better tire IMO, but they still aren't the best thing for mud.

A 13" tire is too wide for the hummers wheels??? 315mm is 12.4 inches!!! Better recheck that!!!
There are also Claw radials which come in 33, 35, or 37 inch tires that will fit the rims.
