I received a call from a GM Drivetrain Specialist today that was initiated by me contacting the Borg Warner Engineer. GM has announced a solution to the slip yoke problem as of 1/5/05. They call it stop sign clunk. The solution can be found under Service Bulletin 01-04-17-004B. They replace the slip yoke with a nickel plated one. This is the same thing they did for my 01 Silverado years ago when it had this problem. There has not been a nickel plated yoke avaliable for the H2 until now. Can you beleive this? Apparently they are going to equip new units from the factory with these updated yokes.
