I would leave it in. It's only going to be in there a few thousand miles. It's not like it's permanent. It's a little thicker than what you would normally use, but it's summer so you won't have any cold engine cranking issues. Some people are so anal about their oil.
These trucks have great engines. As long as you keep something slippery in the crankcase and change it every equinox or so, you won't have any trouble from it.
