Like crash said wipe off the top of the skid plate.
U don't need a jack to lift it up just roll under and change the oil and filter.
BTW I use a grease from Schaeffers
(click here)that isn't lithium based (water based) so it won't mix w/ water and cause wear in the front end.
We found out about this grease 25 years ago when we used to mud run and got tired of replacing the inner Torrington bearings on SFA.
If the seals went bad from the mud the grease still kept the crap out (don't tell a blonde).
