Wow.. I am so sad to see this degenerate into what it has, but from my point of view, Froggy is the one who has handled himself with class in this argument, and he has had others keep dragging him down by absurd statements such as equating DUIs to not wearing seat belts (sorry, I read the post twice, and that's what it clearly says).

If my not wearing a seat belt is going to kill someone else in the car, then of course I would wear it. But it's a personal choice.

I agree Froggy -- in almost all states, it is a more significant fine for speeding or failing to come to a complete stop at a red light before turning right when no traffic is coming (I actually know someone who got a $300+ fine and a day in traffic school for doing just this) than it is to not wear a seat belt. So in other words, those who have never sinned can cast the first stone in this case. I think just about everyone, at some point, has not worn a seat belt or gone at least 1 MPH over the speed limit, so please drop the high-and-mighty stance that is so incredibly irritating.
