Why exactly are you taking the word of a receptionist over that of a Hummer service writer/service manager/certified technician?
I know you folks up in Seattle are a bit nutty, but damn.
Wait until Monday and ask the service writer. Until then, keep trying different ways to get gas in the filler neck. Try pulling back the gas nozzle foreskin and see if you can half insert it into the filler neck. Or you could also put gas into a gas can and fill it that way.
