I have to agree with Phil. The SMA carrier is mounted to the frame via the same mount locale as the rear tow pulls. After SMA sent me the little isolation boot to stop the rattle, I have no complaints. They also sent me a few pictures because I made mention of some complaints about the latch being cumbersome. Here is a pic of the rear of a rig that was rear-ended by a wrangler (post a pic of wrangler next):
