Hey CP, I had one of those experiences - with a freakin' COP!!
We were lost in Natchez, MS - pulled over to a cop car on the side of the road to ask directions. I said "Excuse me, ma'am" - and it leaned out of the car - and I said "Uh, sir?" and it did NOT look amused. So I figured I'd hurry up and ask the stupid question before I got carted in for something.
