No it is not the same method. In this one they take the original wax of with some sort of chemical. Then they put like six layers of different new harder components on from which the last is similiar that dentists use on our teeth (this sounds scary

). And then they let it dry and clean it. I can tell it works. No waxing ever again, and all you have to do is a new top layer in every 18 months.
Now, the math for me. On my current car, if I take to dealship for wash and wax (during the day at work), it's like $150. I can do this 4 times and it is more than getting the DITEC treatment...
