Well, first, what year H2 is it. Second, it probably doesn't really matter. I have not heard of a problem with the DRL circuit. On '03s there was a problem if you had dealer installed roof or grill-guard mounted lights.
Prodigy has the proper harness for you regardless. I would suggest getting the vehicle-specific, plug and play harness and not the generic harness that comes with the controller.
Keep asking questions. Either this is a brand new problem on '06s or they haven't done an H2 in a while. Either way, you don't have to disconnect the DRLs if you don't want to. Good luck on finding a good place to install the controller. I ended up cutting into my dash and sticking mine in the hole.
