I use only the AUXGMV3 and the HK system. No other interface is needed unless you want more than the 1 aux input. It's a little strange, but all I have to do is go to XM1 or XM2 band then press the track up button 3 times and the track down button 1 time. It then switches to the aux input. You get used to it after a while. It works a little different depending on your stereo. I have the 6-disc unit and XM. If you don't have XM, I think you just need to switch to the XM band.
The setup works perfectly and the sound is awesome. Hope this helps.
