Good write up. I have the same slip yoke problem. Never had it in my Fords. It's enough to drive me batty!
I wonder why the GM engineer didn't know about it? Maybe we should start emailing GM everytime we present the dealer with a new problem.
It sounds like they don't know weather to make it nicer, and charge a little more, or to try and cut costs and keep the price the same. Do they want it to be luxury? or not?
I haven't had any trouble with the 03. I wouldn't trade at this point.
