I have the base package with 33 inch tires and have taken mine off-roadiing twice and have had no problems at all.I am not into rock climbing so I dont need the locking rear diff.If you are going off-roading once and awhile base is fine.If you are a big time off-roader and like the rock climbing then get off-road package.
