If everything ran ok, and all other functions (radio, HVAC, etc.) still work, it could be a loose I/P cluster connector. Just a guess since I'm not there. Possibly it did not lock into place during assembly at the factory.
I would pull the I/P and check to make sure the connector is seated ok.
Just grab hold of the top of the trim panel around the cluster, and pull back. It is held in place with four or six retainers. Then remove four screws from cluster, and slowly pull cluster back and check the connector.
