The white light on the right side underneath the bumper is the "new" reverse gear light.
The red light on the left side is a "fog signal lamp" which you're required by law to have in Germany. You need to turn it on in heavy fog and it shines extremly bright (brighter than the brake lights) so your vehicle can still be identified even in heavy fog.
