Even an accomplished hero who acts like a condescending bully and braggart really doesn't seem much like a hero. The people in here pushing back at you aren't the ones who are marginalizing your past - you are the one doing that. Maybe you don’t agree, but by my observations, most Marines generally are proud, but also somewhat humble.
I assume the lawyer jokes are just that, but I would say: There are about 800,000 lawyers in the USA. Just like auto mechanics, doctors, small businessmen, engineers, etc ..., there are a lot of bad ones, a lot of decent ones, and a lot of great ones. And I mean that both in terms of competence and ethics. They span the spectrum. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I always thought that I could have no more respect for our servicemen than I already do, but your comments just elevated that respect to a whole new level.
