You can actually have the installer disable that safety feature like Kevin. I like the safety feature. Nothing worst than a swerving Hummer on the road.
Only thing I don't like about my set up(like yours and Kev's) The bloody thing starts to sag down during off road use. That sort of railing attachment in the back has to be really tight.
I was thinking of re-installing it at the front dash area for a Heads up type set up like what NVR is mentioning.
