Where is diesel 90 cents more than regular? Here in SoCA, diesel is about the same or slightly higher than premium, or about 10% more than regular (35-40 cents).
Any hints about which engines are being considered? If Hummer goes for a similar displacement turbodiesel, I think 30% better mileage isn't unreasonable, and it should provide a lot more torque. So realistically, there would be a 20% savings in fuel costs with somewhat improved performance.
Will trans and transfer case capacity be an issue?
