Key words are "should increase." Any guarantees?
There is a guarantee that a foam type filter does allow for more air flow, but that also means more dirt into the engine...that has been proved in tests.
I would recommend going with the C/C if it does fit. (I'll look this up tomorrow AM, just to be sure.)
