PARAGON has a little shameless behaviour in the past

Most of the ones I have seen have been designed for LEOs or other response individuals. I have seen both an aluminum (it was in a pickup bed) and one made of some other metal. My problem with those are the "booming" sound, the hollow pipe sound it has to it. There will be a canine from time to time on top of it along with other stuff. You can deadened it with sound proofing but then you start eating up that space again.

I have the drawer slides and they are rated at max 500lbs fully extended. I have a sawmill that is going to custom cut 1 3/4" x 14" sides with 2"x6" to go across the bottom of it and use to secure the whole thing to the floor. The top and drawer is going to be made of 3/4" cabinet grade plywood.

I have two fail secure electric deadbolt locks that will be mounted inside of the box and inaccessible from the outside. They will have a remote switch somewhere that will release the bolts and allow the drawer to open. Each bolt is rated at a min of 600lbs break strength.

The front of the box is going to be slanted at an angle equal to the angle the rear seatbacks are at. There will be a hinged access point at the bottom there that will allow easy access to the space under the drawer.

I have some rubberized stuff that's like Line-X that I plan to spray the drawer and the bottom of the box with. It stays a little more rubbery than typical Line-X type spray ons.

I also have a separate air compressor and a stainless steel 5 gal air tank and am thinking that I might be able to mount one of those air hose reels horizontally under the drawer and have a retractable air hose accessible from the back of the truck. Not sure about this idea but I have the compressor and tank off the truck (the tank is new) and need to get those set up and mounted also so the hose reel idea kinda hit me.
