Placing advertising on your vehicle has nothing to do with making it elegible to write-off.

You asked if you could place advertising and write it off based on the advertising - the answer to that is "no".

There are certain types of driving that count as "business use". If more than 50% of your mileage qualifies as business use as per the tax code than you can write of that percentage of the purchase price up to whatever limit is in effect at time of purchase (and assuming that you made more than this amount).

You need a tax professional - do NOT rely on information gleaned from an internet forum.
