The escape issue must be weighed against the risk of break-in. In other words, what is the chance that someone will try to break into your H2 vs. the chance that you will drive off a bridge or into a lake and drown in your H2? I am betting against the submersion thing, so it sounds like a good idea if you live in a city or where there is a high incidence of auto burglary.
