You could always upgrade to my tire carrier with a nice draw latch.
Sorry couldn't pass that one up. I was thinking if you still have the factory bolt that is a part of factory tire mounting system you should be able to work that thru the decking and get it around a support member and then secure the tire down with the other components from the factory mount. ??? Just a thought off the top of my head. good Luck.
