While in Moab and on Poison Spider/Golden Spike trail, one of the trucks had a minor problem and was being worked on. While the truck was blocking the trail, this young driver cut across a small section of undisturbed soil to get to a go-around trail. Now, it wasn't very far but I lit him up on the ettiquette of staying on the trail. Fact is, he didn't know about the cryptobiotic soil fraility and nobody ever educated him about public perception and projecting the right image of wheelers. He definately does now. It is up to us to do that educating or else as Bill Burke writes, it will be the death of our sport.
