My problem is not leg or head room but foot room with the pedals so close together. I have to have my right foot basically laying on its side to work the gas pedal and not get hung up on the brake pedal. Really becomes a problem when off road trying to BTM since my right heal sticks further over than the brake pedal

It varies from person to person. I use mine all the time and when not open, the shade is only closed maybe 5% of the time to cut down on heat when parked. It was one of the options that I required. Now my GF has had a sunroof in her past 3 cars and it is probably covered up 75% of the time and open maybe 5%.
