Talking Me = Bandit- long story

Since I don't have an official girls' pm or thread to post on- I am discussing this here, some menfolk will appreciate it too:

We went to this auction at this old farm estate down the street today. It is on 80 acres- completely beautiful old brick mansion with surround brick outhouses, stables, guesthomes, garages and work shops. Just freeking amazing. Anyway, the widow passed recently and they have held auctions since Thursday- today being the last one with the big ticket items.

The stuff that came out of this place was just amazing- every piece of furniture was a detailed dark mastery. And the ARTWORK! Holy Hairballs!!, every piece was original signed and perfect- like huge portraits of Lincoln, Lincoln and his children, hunting scenes, bronze sculptures - just purely amazing sh1t all over the place. The owners were very eccentric- traveled, loved cool crap! So I am completely creaming over the whole situation.

In the tent, I waved my ticket on a few items- keeping one eye on Kenny's, when they started to get wide I would quickly lay it back down in my lap.

Anyway- the actual story: We were looking at the stuff and I saw this beautiful china set- they had like 12 or so, but this one was an intricate design in Cornflower blue with a gold rim. I was showing it to Kenny- feeling him out. We just saw a similar one in red go for 1300.- So moving on around I hear them call out 60pc Wedgwood set in Cornflower Blue. I wasn't in the tent but kinda looked at Kenny and started easing on over there.

The auctioneer started out high, and then started to come down, I started to walk a little faster. It was at 100., I flew underneath the tent and shot up my arm. Everybody was waving until about 300. I was thinking "OMG! are you kidding me? This set is so pretty." Then it was me and this other person- we bid back n' forth and I won at 425.- Smiling my azz off. I was so excited- everybody was a sucker.

Then we go to get it and it wasn't the one I was looking at- typical - "oh man is Kenny going to be mad!" . With the auction fee and tax it ended up being over 500. I was still excited though, it is really pretty. When I got home I sorted it all out, I had a lot but just enough for 11 full service set-ups (maybe), weird ratios like 3 cups and 23 saucers. I ran to the office and jumped on E-bay to see if I was going to be banned from future auctions.

Found out that just 4 of the pieces are worth over 500. YEAH MAMA! I can sell all of it for a total between 1400. and 1600. easily. So I'm doing it. I prolly would only use it a couple of times anyway. And Kenny is taking me to another one this week.
