it was his own dumbass fault. When you are on a bike you alway assume everyone else is a moron. Even if you have the right of way always look for other cars when going through an intersection. I almost got side swipped on my bike twice last weekend alone...but I was smart and was watching all traffic near me so I could see it coming.

Also...ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!
