However, just remove the return hose from the camcover to the resonator and see if it is filled with dripping oil.

You're right. I read K&N filter and was thinking it was the K&N kit that replaces the resonator and stock air box. The K&N kit has a hose that connects to the cover and makes a sharp bend that can kink if done wrong.

The stock breather hose is under the resonator.
