Update from Manik.
They did call me back. Their response was that the Manik Rock Rails were built as "decorative items only". My response was they are not martketed as "Decorative Rock Rails" and therefore I was under the assumption (we all know what happens when we ASS-U-ME
) they were rock rails, not decorative tubes.
Long story short, they are sending me a set of the 2nd generation taillight guards free as compensation.
So if you want a decorative tube under your body, get the Manik tubes. If you want something that works, get the OEM or wait a couple of weeks and Rocky-Road will have a version of tuff rock rails fabricated from my rig
