If I would have gunned it in that location with my tires at that angle I would have immediately been up to my doors and not just on my frame. The problem with that mud is that with any kind of motion you get liquefaction which just exacerbates the problem. Speaking from experience, I did the right thing for the situation.

cools pics and stories. pseudoplasticity. i think i know the kidn of muck you mean, and you're just plain fcked deep, and long, once you're stuck, or once you break through the surface which is often more dry or has some vegetation to give it faint solidity. (if what you're showing is what i'm thinking of)
this is why i believe wheeling not involving rocks should never be done more than 400 yards from something that says "Caterpillar" or "John Deere" on the side.
