I read the other thread, and in regard to fuel pressure, just bleed it off via the shrader valve under the hood on the fuel line. Place a rag over the valve, and press the needle valve and a small amount of fuel will bleed into the rag.

Now, I have to ask why you want to change it. You will know when a filter is starting to clog. If you idle ok, accelerate slightly ok, but start to bog down when accelerating heavily, will tell you your filter is starting to plug up.
Back in the old days, when in-ground tanks were metal and rusted, and fuel tanks in the vehicle were metal and rusted, fuel filters plugged. However, in the past thirty years, in-ground fuel tanks have been fiberglass, fuel tanks on the vehicle are plastic, and the chances of getting dirty fuel is very slight.
In fact, in most vehicle, there is no recommended time to change the filter. It is serviced only if required.
