Re: Front Differential AND Driveline
It drove home fine, but when I got back I took it in a few days later cause it was making a loud clank when I put it into drive. That's when they changed the Carrier mount/bracket bushings. (Drivline forcing differential up is bad:-)
Then I picked it up and on the way to Deer Valley, I noticed when I got off the gas I would hear a "jingle bells" type sound. Sorta. It got worse and louder over the last couple of weeks, so I took it in and this is what they found. Caput!
This time they just changed the entire case and driveline.
I begged them to make sure I received a new "hardend gear" if possible.
They are also considering (99%) to extend the warranty on the front end (diff) to 100K. I'll know the final outcome of that on Friday.
Once again, HUMMER of Sacramento ROCKS!
