I was originally using LED bulbs for the DRL's, but they kept burning out. PIAA makes a great kit that replaces the whole DRL. The kit includes the lens, HID bulb, igniter, ballast, relay, and switch. This kit took about 4 hours to install since there is more modifications needed to make them fit. Installing the PIAA kit eliminates the need for a jumper wire (in the fusebox) for the DRL's since you are creating a whole new circuit. You can turn them on/off as you choose.
The pictures with them on do not do any justice. There is no substitute for HID's and i always notice vehicles that have them. I am sure to get noticed more since there are 4 hid's illuminating the road.  |
