Re: 100K Component Warranty on My '06 H3
MAJOR UPDATE!!!!
So, no letter.....no call.....then a message...
"Mrs. Hummbebe, I need to update you on your component letter, please call me direct at XXX-XXX-XXXX"
So I call. She tells me that it was totally her mistake, and she apologized profusely. However, it is GM's policy, that "Component letters cannot be offered to residents in the states of California, New Hampshie (and one other, can't remember).
OK, so now what?
She said she could offer me a Basic GMPP policy which would cover 60 months/75,000 miles. But it would include the engine this time.
I was quiet for a moment, reflecting on Old Hiker's experiences as of late with GMPP.
"I'm not sure that's going to work for me " I said. The I explained to her what happened to Pops, and said I was not at all interested in hanging out at a dealership for 48 hours, away from home, waiting for some jackass adjustors approval.
She said, "Well you don't have to accept it if you don't want it". ( little snot) I replied, "oh I'll take it, but I will not be happy about it."
So I simply stated, "you offered me a 100K component letter, why can't I have a 100K GMPP?"(I really wanted to call her an indian giver, but that may not have been to my advantage. )
So she said, can you hold for a couple of minutes? Of course.
She came back with an offer of a 60month/100K GMPP Basic. Fine.
So the entire driveline will be covered. I just better not get any crap from some jackass adjustor, who has no idea what he's doing.
Oh yeah, no cost to me and no deductables.
