we have basically leveled iraq and thrown them to the brink of civil war.
what was once the most advanced and economically strong mid east nations, now relys on generators for electricity and working plumbing is scarce.
iraq also had the largest standing army in the mideast.
so now, years later, countless lives, and trillions of dollars later, we havent found any evidence of WMDs, and no terrorist links to osama.
so....why are we there?
democracy? gimme a break. theres a lot worse places to we could have "settled."
again we have meddled in affairs and events we didnt understand and have managed to destabilize a whole region.
dont get me wrong....im not a peace freak. i just dont understand what the hell were doing there, and worse yet, i dont think our policymakers do either.
