Default Re: Why did this happen?

I also had something similar happen in my '06. I was dorking around in some slimmy mud with a friend doing donuts and generally getting the Hummer as dirty as I could, when my ABS light came on and the truck started free-spinning the tires. It seemed like the traction control had completely shut off.

I did some more spinning and such, and later shut the truck off, which reset the ABS light, and the traction control and ABS seem to be working fine now.

I chalked it up to Hummer being smart enough to realize I was playing around and really didn't need the Traction control and ABS on, but I never really looked into it further.

BTW, it's been working fine for 6 weeks or so since then, so I don't think you'll have any problem in the near future.

Anyone else have this happen, and does anyone know why it happens?
