I swear by Procomp Xterrains. Of course, being in Dallas, I have no experience with them in the snow.
They do very well with Rocks, Mud and Pavement, and are very quiet with a decent life span (30K-35K depending on how much rubber you require).
They also come in the 12.5 width.
They are a little more expensive, though.
