Talking stock DVD? If all wiring is present, including XM antenna wire from external XM antenna, wiring connectors for the new XM box (might be just hanging there), not a hard job. Remove DVD and remove glove box to install XM box and do all connections. If wiring is not present, he may have to install a new antenna (doubt it), and splice into some wires for power/ground/serial data, etc. However, I would be all the wiring is there, but can't be sure.
After install, a simple setup with the Tech 2 is probably required to allow the BCM to recognize the new component on the serial data link.
