I have been rollin 26 years now sans front plates on every vehicle I have owned and have never been ticketed/warned/etc. for it. My wifes Audi doesn't even have front plate mounts/holes/etc...
I just store them in my work bench in my garage, heck I even have them from a few vehicles I don't even own anymore
