I'm not sure who is owned? But I do know I'm confused as hell with all your different posts which are confusing GMID/GMS and probably a few more.
This information is correct for a GMS discount. In one message you post, "which i got, not the gmid discount, which stands for 'general motors in your driveway' and goes only to relatives up to grandchildren of actual gm employees." However, if you read what is posted in this posting, you will see GMS goes to family members.
In another thread you state, "you are so gmid is an umbrella for two types of discounts -- family members of gm employees, or friends and/or family (or anyone who scores one online) of gm suppliers." GMID is NOT an umbrella, it is simply a discount that GM employees can give to their friends, acquaintances or family members who do NOT quality for GMS, such as cousins.
