Perhaps it's coincidence, but I think not. The black plastic trim is cracked through and through making a channel, negating the door seal's effectiveness. I've slid it all apart enough to find the problem. It'd be BETTER WITHOUT the black plastic trim because it's making the void for water to flow through. So, while you're absolutely correct in saying that without the trim, it didn't leak, with a broken one, it does. My parts are in and it'll be repaired Thursday. Hummer's been standing behind this vehicle 100% so far.
