I agree with what you said. Every fighting sport has its stregths and weakness'. I admire Mauy Thai for the required endurance and stamina. As a form of hand to hand combat it is very effective (though not neccasairly the best). The use of elbows can be deadly. The use of kicking in Mauy Thai is great, they do not use acrobatic type kicks, but instead use them to drive an opponent further away. Which in turn allows the person on the offensive to put his body's momentum in to the next blow, hopefully hurting the other person more quickly. On the flip side Mauy Thai is not very effective on the ground, which in a real life situtation is where most fights end up.
