We have never ever gone on a "pay per buck" kinda hunt and only taken leases ourselves for several years to develop them into something. It has been that way sine i was a child hence we quit huntng white tail about 10 yrs ago and only went to Colorado or NM for Elk and Muleys.

It just seems that unless you own the property and live on it or have someone live on it - when you get some good stock someone will come cherry pick it for you without your knowlege until you catch them red handed.. I wish I could tell you here on the internet what happens to them when we catch them...

But in any case, my dad is getting old now and isnt wanting to spend the time into a new lease and it would be nice to just "pay to shot a pet" trophy so he could have "a huge one" in his life.. but honestly I dont think he would even do it - I would have to ask him first.

As much as I would like to shoot one like those, I would have to completly lie my as s off to people when they asked me where I shot it. I would be so ashamed to say it was on a ranch like that. Maybe if I took it with my bow it would feel better but still.. I think you understand what I mean.
