There was nothing great about them except that their skin was thick. They were bare bones simple design. We had a fire under the dash, choke cable break, seat bolts break and it simply didn't articulate for a solid axle vehicle. It was horridly unbalanced on the trail and bounced too damn much.
Don't get your feelings hurt. We had a '76 for parts (I think the years are right) and ran the '77. It just didn't cut the mustard unless you modded it a lot which I couldn't afford to do in High School.
