I have had both cast and stamped. They both worked well if kept clean and rust free. Keep some WD 40 around. If you paint it don't get paint on the pins.
It is good to test it once and awhile at home before you find out it is sticking when in the field when you really need it.


48" is good for most situations. If you need more height you can put rock or a log under it.

It is a dangerous tool so read the directions and try it out at home so you know how it works and where and how you can lift the H3.

When letting it down watch out for the handle if let go it can knock you in the jaw! Also be careful when the vehicle is up on the jack because the base or top of the jack can kick out and easily hurt you or a by stander. Not good to get a broken leg when getting un-stuck.

You can lift using bumpers, side skids, trailer hitch, wheels, tow shackles etc.
