Default Re: You bunch of Snow Hog'n Bastids!!

yep, you guessed it. This thread on top can mean only one thing.

More snow!

First we get cold and freeze rain. Than pver the weekend we get more cold weather and up to anotehr 8".

KUSA ? The arctic cold front started moving into the metro area on Thursday afternoon and will spread a wintry mix of flurries and freezing drizzle into the Denver area Thursday evening.

9NEWS Chief Meteorologist Kathy Sabine says now that the cold air has settled in the metro area there will be a 55 degree temperature drop by Friday from Wednesday?s high of 65 degrees.

The freezing drizzle should start around 6 p.m. Thursday and mix with snow flurries overnight into Friday morning.

That could make things very slick for the Friday morning commute, especially on bridges and overpasses. There could also be freezing fog in many areas.

The colder air from the north is mixing with the milder air that has been in the metro area over the past few days.

Kathy says there will be light snow and flurries throughout the day on Friday in the metro area. There will only be minor accumulation.

The snow is expected to stay light through early Saturday morning, but a second, stronger surge of arctic air will move in Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The 9NEWS weather team expects about 4 to 8 inches of snow will be on the ground in the metro area by Sunday night.

After the snow moves out, the cold will remain, with highs in the single digits and lower teens through early next week.

Kathy added that it looks like the temperatures will moderate closer to normal (43 degrees) by the end of next week.
