I left my good straps in my previous 4X4 by accident when I traded it in. I decided I was going to order some serious airline-type 50,000 lb. straps, but as you can see, I haven't done it yet.
I am going to do it asap, now.
We were very careful about using the chain. No slamming it. etc.
Just a nice slow pull.
I was surprised how well the Durango did. Once he gets it lifted and puts some good lockers and tires on it, it should be quite a truck.
And I love that Hemi. I wish my Hummer had the power to weight ratio of it!!
One thing you all will enjoy: A co-worker looking at the pictures said "You had a minivan pull you out????". I didn't have the heart to pass that on to my buddy!

Ah ok, but a good reminder to everyone, don't do any offroading without the proper gear, just incase you get in a tough situation.
50,000lbs sounds like overkill and might actually have a reverse effect when trying to recover a vehicle. 30K is plenty (3 inch wide strap), it's strong enough and has enough stretch to help in recovery.
