I bieleve the reason wouldnt be becuase of your sign, it is quite obvious that the angry mob was there to invite you to a tea party, in and old style manner with torches as the primary source of light, and the pitchforks to help clear your way through the candy cane forest to the location of the old style Tea Party, and the large calibur weapons, while not being old style, are used for your protection against the Headless Horseman, and perhaps after the Old Style Tea Part they wanted to go try to search for a few witches while riding around in horse and buggies with the old stlye clothes, and in turn they came to your house looking for assistance with this, and an extra guest at an extrodinary once in a lifetime old style tea party.
