Default Re: Home Insurance

First off, I have been a commander at Platoon level twice, company level twice, troop level one and will be at battalion level, God willing, soon. Does not happen if you are not good with the details.

Attention to detail is is what we in the military live by, so not an issue, i was able to get my policies paid. My problem is when people take advantage of SENIORS, the most trusting and taken advantage group out there. They, for the most part, grew up taking peoples words. If any one honestly beleives that the insurance people down there explained to the seniors about the differnce in storm surges and flooding and rain damage, I have over 20 displaced senior couples here in PA who would like to tell you different. The seniors are not idiots, they asked the questions they thought they should, "does it cover hurricane damage, flooding" but because they did not know the storm surge question and the salesman did not tell them that small point they are out, and half of them are retired military familys I work with.

If some one tells some one the policy covers everything but the print splits hairs... they are wrong. IT IS CALLED INTEGRITY. mean what you say, say what you mean. It means allot in the Army and having served under the 1 MEF, it meant allot to them too.

If you are a honest insurance man, great for you. But When the Attorney Generals of several states effected by the storm call other states to ask for help investigating all the claims, there is something wrong

As for whiney Biatches, how about the industry that makes BILLIONS and Billions and never has trouble taking policies for years and years, increases rates based on threats, just paying them out. If they do not want to pay out the policies, DON'T WRITE THEM.

I would have had no problem if they people lived there and the insurance companies did not write them policies and if they flooded, i would have said, too bad, you choose to live there, happens regularly, sad to be you. When the insurance companies have take millions in policies for years and years, it is time they keep their word.

Any time the first response to the need for help is did you read the details instead of what did we discuss...

No Spike Lee here, industrial responsiblity is like indivudual responsiblity. The whole country has gotten to the point no one is responsible for anything they do. Hiding behind details. I am big on responsibilities, to include industry.
